She then taught Kindergarten at Hurlbutt Elementary School in Weston, CT. She spent over 10 years teaching before starting her family. Ellen moved to Easton in 2007 with her husband Patrick, stepson Sean and daughters Jenna and Tess. Ellen enjoys art and anything crafty- including scrapbooking! Ellen has been working at Playtots Preschool since 2014. It was that first year that Ellen hatched chicks in her classroom and fell in love with raising chicks and chickens! She now has a little farm with rabbits and chickens called Geaneygirl Farm. Her past students have affectionately nicknamed her “Dr. Chicken Mama” ! Ellen has an innate love for young children and animals. Having the opportunity to incorporate all that she knows and loves while working with young children is an honor and a blessing!
