Carrie has been happily teaching the five day threes class at Playtots Preschool since 2018. Carrie is able to share her passion for creativity in her teaching of the art program to the four-year-old children as well. Prior to arriving at Playtots, she worked for the Stratford Public School district for five years as a Parent Educator in the Family Resource Center as well being the Parents Supporting Education Excellence (Parents SEE) Coordinator. Although much of the years prior to this were spent at home with her two boys, she did find time to work part time in the field of Early Childhood Education. She continues to work for the State of Connecticut as an Education Consultant to several Early Childhood programs in the state. In addition, she was the Child Development Associates (CDA) Instructor at Housatonic Community College as well as a Professional Development Specialist for the National Credentialing Program. Carrie studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Connecticut where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and continued her Graduate studies at Southern Connecticut State University. She is a certified head teacher in the State of Connecticut as well. Carrie is very passionate about the well-being of adults as well as children and is certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Behavioral Health. She is honored to be the mother of two young men, Nicholas and Christian, and is happily married to her college sweetheart for over 20 years.
